| Curious George party ideas
What could be more fun than a barrel of monkeys? A Curious
George party, of course!
You'll certainly want to see some real monkeys during your party,
so a plan a trip to the zoo. Or hold the entire party at the
zoo - many zoos have party facilities, and can help you organize
the entire thing, right down to the cake and decorations. All
you'll have to bring are the guests! Or if the zoo's not your
cup of tea, what about trip to the circus?
For entertainment at the party, bring out the Curious
George books and read them aloud. Or buy or rent Curious
George videos and watch the adventures of everybody's favorite
monkey!
Curious George went to a costume party once, so why not have
your own costume party? Put together a costume trunk (a large
box will work if you don't have an old-fashioned travel trunk
on hand) and invite your guests to dress up as their favorite
characters. Or have your guests make hats out of newspaper -
who can make the funniest hat? The prettiest hat? The most elaborate
hat?
Pin the tail on the monkey is always fun - get a large Curious
George poster for the wall, and make monkey tails out of
paper or curling ribbon. Blindfold each guest, spin them around
gently a few times, and have them try to put their monkey tail
back on George!
Your young monkeys will undoubtedly be hungry, so have snacks
on hand - Peanuts? Bananas? Tropical punch? Find a monkey-shaped
cake pan, and make a Curious George cake - or decorate a cake
with small monkey figurines.
For party favors, how about giving everyone Curious
George books? Many of the books are available in inexpensive
paperback editions, and who won't love reading about George's
adventures? Small stuffed monkeys are fun too, and so are Curious
George stickers and coloring books.
